Paws for Parkinson's benefit for OHSU Parkinson Center
9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 21, 2014
Grassy area at the base of the Portland Aerial Tram, next to the OHSU Center for Health & Healing, 3303 S.W. Bond Ave., Portland, Ore.
The event will include one-kilometer and four-kilometer walks with dogs along the Willamette River in the South Waterfront neighborhood. It will also feature pet contests, a vendor fair, and a silent auction with packages and experiences ranging from a weekend at the Oregon coast to Oregon Shakespeare Festival tickets to private tango lessons.
Funds raised will help the OHSU Parkinson Center further its mission of helping people with Parkinson's disease by offering expertise and comprehensive care, providing education to patients, families, and professionals and promoting research into causes of and treatment for Parkinson's disease.
