Residency Program Conferences


Monthly and weekly educational conferences, covering a wide variety of urologic topics, are an integral part of the residency training program. Faculty and Residents work together in coordinating the conference topics and teaching materials.

Didactic and Indications Conference takes place Monday mornings at 7:00 am and is attended by the residents and faculty.  Upcoming cases are discussed and past cases are reviewed.

Grand Rounds take place Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm and consist of urologic lectures presented by the residents, faculty, and visiting professors.  OHSU faculty, residents, staff and community urologists are encouraged to attend this meeting and participate in discussion following the lectures.   

GU Tumor Board is a multi-disciplinary conference that meets twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7:00 am to review cases. Faculty and residents from several OHSU Departments participate (urology, pathology, hematologic oncology, and radiology).

Journal Club meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm to discuss current research through article review.

Research Conference takes place one Monday morning each month at 7:00 am to discuss current research pursuits in the department and interact with guest research lecturers from multiple disciplines at the University.

Morbidity & Mortality Conference takes place one Monday morning each month at 7:00 a.m. to discuss relevant cases from the past month.
