Technology Development Manager
In her current role as a Technology Development Manager, Trina is responsible for commercialization and licensing OHSU discoveries to bring them from the lab and into the market for public good.
Prior to joining OHSU, Trina was at the USC Stevens Institute for Innovation at the University of Southern California as a licensing specialist. She also worked in real estate leasing, was an interrogator in the US Army, and managed a scuba shop located next to the number one shore dive in North America. Trina came to OHSU Technology Transfer as a Technology Development Coordinator in 2010 where her responsibilities included negotiating contracts which support research at OHSU, including Sponsored Research and Material Transfer Agreements, before being promoted in 2013.
Trina received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Zoology and Biology, with minors in German Language and Computer Information systems at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. She completed graduate coursework in Marine Science at Moss Landing Marine Labs and also received an Associate of Arts degree in Arabic Language from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.
In her spare time, Trina raises Nubian dairy goats, standard rex rabbits, Indian runner ducks, hair sheep, honey bees, Muscovy ducks, and a mixed flock of dual-purpose chickens.
