Technology Marketing & Collaboration Manager
Karen comes to OHSU with a solid background in marketing and communications, in both the private and commercial sectors. As a Technology Marketing & Collaboration Manager for OHSU Technology Transfer, Karen's responsibilities are to lead the marketing and communication efforts to support technology commercialization at the university. This includes building relationships with internal and external partners, developing and leading marketing strategies, managing the department's digital presence, and creating content that will ultimately advance OHSU's reputation as a leader in life science innovation.
Karen has worked in a variety of different marketing positions in the Portland area throughout her career. Her educational background includes a B.A. in advertising from Washington State University and an M.S. in organizational leadership from Johns Hopkins University.
Raised in the pacific northwest for the majority of her life, her hobbies include jogging with her German Shepherd, hot pilates, traveling, and spending time with her family.
