Who We Are

Member of the National Hartford Centers of Geriatric Nursing Excellence

The Hartford Center of Gerontological Excellence at OHSU is a community of educators, clinicians, and researchers whose leadership is actively improving health care for older people in America.

In March, 2000, The John A. Hartford Foundation Trustees endorsed an initiative to Build Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity in response to the critical need for geriatric nurses at all levels. The OHSU School of Nursing was one of the first five institutions to be awarded one of these prestigious centers in 2001.

Our Hartford Center is a member of the National Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence and as a benefit of membership we are all eligible for consultations services, opportunities for collaboration, resources, and much more!
