Join the Autism Identical Twin Study @ OHSU!
Research opportunity
The purpose of this research program is to learn more about the genetic factors related to autism by studying identical twin pairs and their families. Current specific goals are to: 1) Examine the developmental history of identical twin pairs where one or both twins have an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. 2) Find new genetic factors that may be related to the risk of developing autism. 3) Store data and samples in a repository for future studies of autism and other developmental disorders.
- You may be eligible if you or your child is an identical twin, and one of the twins has a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ages 4 and up).
- Participation can take place at home or may include 1 visit to OHSU. It is expected to take 1-2 hours.
- For more information, and/or to find out if you qualify for this study, call or email study coordinator Hadley Morotti at 503-494-2971, morotti@ohsu.edu.

Join the Neurofibromatosis Research Program @ OHSU
Research opportunity
A multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians from molecular & medical genetics, pediatrics, psychiatry, and the Institute on Development and Disability are developing a new neurofibromatosis research program.
The purpose of this research program is to learn more about people living with neurofibromatosis and related conditions. Current specific goals are to: 1) Examine developmental history of neurofibromatosis type 1 in children with or without other developmental disorders, such as autism. 2) Find new genetic factors that may be important for people with atypical neurofibromatosis and; 3) Store data and samples in a repository for future studies of neurofibromatosis and related conditions.
- You may be eligible to participate if you or your child has a suspected or confirmed clinical diagnosis of neurofibromatosis or a related condition.
- Participation can take place at home or may include 1 visit to OHSU. It is expected to take 1‑2 hours.
- For more information, and/or to find out if you qualify for this study, call or email study coordinator Hadley Morotti at 503-494-2971, morotti@ohsu.edu.
