Evaluation

Comprehensive evaluation and dissemination

Research that is culturally-competent, relevant, and community-based and highly participatory is a critical part of improving the health of AI/AN populations, increasing the connections between tribes and academic health centers, and increasing the knowledge of learners about AI/AN health issues. We envision evaluation as a continuous process. The evaluation team meets weekly to review all active efforts across teams. The team relies on a unique data viewing portal which allows for rapid review of our short and intermediate indicators of progress. The evaluation team is able to share findings with investigators, partners and our advisors in real time, while simultaneously identifying ways to improve precision of assessments and evaluations as well as improve the overall impact of the Center toward ensuring the success and/or effectiveness of all aspects of the Center. The evaluation team is comprehensive and places high value on dissemination of findings in a team-centric approach.
