Erik Larson
Dr. Larson

Erik Larson, M.D.

Erik Larson, M.D., joined neurological surgery in 2016. Erik was a staff sergeant in the US Air Force (2001-2005) serving in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as an airborne linguist.  He pursued his undergraduate education at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash., where he graduated summa cum laude with a BS in neuroscience.  He then obtained his medical degree from University of Washington, Seattle. While in medical school, he was honored to be selected as a Tillman Military Scholar by the Pat Tillman Foundation.

His interests include spending time with his family, cooking, and hiking.

David Mazur-Hart
Dr. Mazur-Hart

David Mazur-Hart, M.D., M.S.

David Mazur-Hart, M.D., M.S., joined neurological surgery in 2016. He completed his medical training at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), Norfolk, Virg., where he was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as a third-year student. He also received a Master of Science degree in biomedical sciences from EVMS. He previously completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Wash. While in medical school he volunteered for a number of organizations including the Norfolk Emergency Shelter Team providing food and shelter for the homeless and the student run free clinic, HOPES.

His personal interests include hiking, baseball, basketball, golf, music, and board games.

Nasser Yaghi
Dr. Yaghi

Nasser Yaghi, M.D.

Nasser Yaghi, M.D., was educated at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in molecular and cell biology, with a minor in psychology. Dr. Yaghi was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Medical Research Fellow completing a year of research at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas studying cancer immunotherapy. His project focused on nanoparticle delivery of microRNA to influence the tumor microenvironment of glioblastomas. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas with a medical degree and research track distinction in May 2016. Nasser enjoys basketball, soccer, and reading.

He is interested in entrepreneurship and taking new treatments/medical devices to market. He remains an active member of his family’s pizza business.
