I currently have the privilege of serving as OHSU’s Director of Specialty and Value-Based Care. In this capacity my role is to be a consistent advocate for value-based care health initiatives across all aspects of care delivery with emphasis in Specialty Care and Hospital Medicine, acting as a keen observer and evaluator of emerging value-based care and alternative payment model trends, assessing risk, and recommending strategic direction.

During my 14 years of service to OHSU, I have developed a reputation as a selfless and inclusive healthcare leader, focused on solutions that benefit OHSU’s patient population.  I have formal training in strategy development, healthcare administration, change leadership models, and Lean process improvement methodologies.  I view myself as pragmatic and authentic reformer and understand the need to build consensus across various stakeholder groups to enact change in systems, processes, and individuals.

In addition to my role as Director of Specialty Value Based Care, I also serve as adjunct faculty in OHSU’s Division of Management teaching change management models.  Similarly, I am active it teaching and promoting process improvement methodologies in collaboration with OHSU’s Quality Management Department.
