Electives and Longitudinal Courses
Electives
Residents are allocated a month long elective in each of the second, third and fourth years. Elective rotations can be chosen to support AOC goals. In addition, residents can sometimes re-arrange clinics between their AOC weeks in order to allow for 1-2 weeks away at an elective.
Elective options
3-4 week experience, currently limited to PGY4s.

Correctional medicine. In development.

Longitudinal courses
Some residents have used OHSU’s certificate programs to gain additional skills. These programs are typically utilized by fellows and faculty but because of our flexible program it is possible for our residents to participate.
