Do you wish you had a group of colleagues to connect with, learn from, and contribute to as you grow in a particular skill?

Attend this session to hear from OHSU faculty and staff who have started and sustained a community of practice on campus. We’ll discuss forming and contributing to communities of practice, the outcomes and impact of their communities of practice, and what to do if you want to start one and how to help get it set up for success. We’ll also dive into using asynchronous/online tools to support communities of practice and share which groups already exist on campus. Since anyone can lead a group like this, we welcome students and staff to attend this session as well!

Panelists:

  • Amy Miller Juve, Ed.D., M.Ed., Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine
  • Mike Miller, MCT, MCP, Data Visualization Specialist, Office of Advanced Analytics
  • Ashley Roach, Ph.D., R.N., Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing, VANAP Faculty

Panel discussion from noon - 1 p.m.

Hosted in collaboration between School of Medicine Faculty Development and the Office of Educational Improvement and Innovation.
