Dr. Mary Tanski and Dr. James Heilman named Vice Chairs of the Department of Emergency Medicine
Dr. Mary Tanski and Dr. James Helman have been named Vice Chairs of the Department of Emergency Medicine. They have earned the respect and the trust of senior leadership at OHSU at both the Hospital and School of Medicine, and our department looks forward for their continued contributions.
Mary Tanski, M.D., M.B.A., joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as full-time faculty in July 2014 after completing an ED Administration Fellowship at OHSU. She serves as the Clinical Director of Operations for the department and has an interest in patient flow, service excellence, and population health. Dr. Tanski's responsibilities as Vice Chair include:

• Medical Director of Clinical Integration for OHSU
• Chair Elect of Physician Advisory Committee
James Heilman, M.D., joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2014. He serves as the medical director for the OHSU transfer center, emergency telemedicine and continuous quality improvement for the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Heilman's research interests include transitions in care, quality improvement education and emergency department operations. Dr. Heilman's responsibilities as Vice Chair include:
