Bangkok Hospital representatives visit the OHSU Emergency Department

Representatives from Bangkok Hospital visited OHSU last week to further the collaborative efforts of OHSU Global, SE Asia and to discuss the progress of their efforts in occupational health, pediatrics, rehabilitation, simulation training and informatics.

Dr. John Ma, Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at OHSU, met with Dr. Somjintana Iamsanpang, Director of the Emergency Department at Bangkok Hospital Headquarters, and Mr. Chalermpol Kanchanavornun, an engineer with Bangkok Dusit Medical Services, to discuss emergency medicine, ultrasonography, and emergency room design.

The visit concluded with Mary Tanski, M.D., Clinical Director of the OHSU Emergency Department, providing a first-hand look at emergency room design in the United States with a guided tour of the OHSU Emergency Department.
