Clinician Leadership Grants

The Clinician Leadership Grants are discontinued until further notice.

The School of Medicine offered many faculty development opportunities to support clinicians in their professional growth and career advancement. A subcommittee of the Clinician Engagement Committee created a larger-scale and more systematic process for clinician leadership training at OHSU. Candidates were able to apply to the committee for funding to cover course registration or tuition appropriate to their development pathway.

The subcommittee evaluated proposals on the applicant's plan for professional development and potential to advance core competencies of OHSU clinician leaders. These include seeking solutions, collaborating, using emotional intelligence, inclusion, and teamwork.

Maximum of one $5000 grant per candidate each academic year.

Candidates could apply, or be referred, for grants to help fund courses for their development pathway. Department chair approval was necessary prior to application.

Examples of courses, seminars, workshops, and other opportunities that were grant eligible can be found on the Clinician Engagement Leadership Training Opportunities grid.
