Using telemedicine tools to manage the surge, accepted and published manuscripts

Dr. Marshall Lee is quoted in a story about how hospitals across the country are using telemedicine tools to help manage a new surge of patients with COVID-19. Becker's Hospital Review republished a POLITICO story.

Congratulations to Dr. Kim Mauer on her abstract for the 63rd American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting titled “Profile of Pain Medication Use in Hemophilia and Hemarthrosis: An Analysis of a Pharmacy Claims Database”. A second abstract titled “Efficacy and Safety for Chronic Pain in Hemophilic Arthropathy: The Rofecoxib Efficacy and Safety Evaluation Trial in Hemophilic Arthropathy (RESET-HA), a Randomized, Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Phase III Clinical Trial” was submitted by Dr. Kim Mauer to the ASH as well. 

Congratulations to Dr. Casey Harms on his accepted case series to the A&A Practice, “Two Cases of Extensive Venous Thrombosis Incidentally Discovered with Bedside Ultrasound for Intravenous Access.”  Drs. Casey Harms and Tera Cushman presented two cases where findings concerning for DVT were incidentally noted on ultrasound during scanning for peripheral access and discuss the basic ultrasound findings concerning for superficial and deep vein thromboses. 

Congratulations to Dr. Colin Gold on his article titled “Acupuncture for the treatment of TMD, headache, and cervical spine pain” which was published in the journal Cranio.
