Congratulations to Alena Guggenheim, N.D. for the acceptance of a poster abstract at the conference "Eds Echo Summit: A Virtual Scientific Conference on EDS, HSD, and comorbidities." Her poster “Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension: an underrecognized cause of debilitating symptoms in hypermobile connective tissue disorders” highlights the challenges with recognition, evaluation, and treatment of SIH. SIH is an important differential to consider in patients with heritable disorders of connective tissue.

Congratulations to Colin Gold D.A.O.M., L.Ac. for his new position as Chair of the Clinical Working Group at the Academic Consortium of Integrative Medicine and Health where he served last year as vice-chair. The consortium is made up of over 60 academic medical centers, including OHSU. The Clinical Working Group plans and hosts the Consortium's monthly Grand Rounds webinars.  This month our own Alena Guggenheim will be presenting on hypermobile connective tissue disorders.  These webinars are attended by faculty from around the country and often around the world as well.  The webinars are accredited for continuing medical education credit.  Since OHSU is a member of the consortium, all OHSU faculty are also members and may register to attend the webinars.
