Sarah Feller, BS; Clinical Research Manager
In late 2021, Sarah accepted the position of Clinical Research Manager for Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine. Previously Sarah served in the department as the Assistant Lab Manager and Cell Culture Specialist for APOM Basic Science for several years. She is a long time employee of OHSU and has spent the majority of her career with Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine, starting in the department as a Research Assistant II in September of 2006.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pacific University in 2001, shortly after which she accepted her first position with OHSU within the Department of Behavioral Neuroscience. Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband enjoying weekend trips with their dogs. She also has a soft spot for her colony of sugar gliders.
Elena Spontak, BA, BS; Clinical Study Coordinator
Elena was born in New York City, but spent most of her youth in Vermont. She attended the University of New Mexico receiving a BS in Cultural Anthropology and BA's in Brazilian Portuguese and Art. She has since worked at many private and non-profit health clinics filling a diversity of roles, such as Health Educator/Counselor and Referral Coordinator. She attended a program at PCC in Medical Research to further her interests in medicine and working with the community.
In her free time she teaches and practices Pilates, kayaks, hikes, bikes and continues to practice her ceramic art.
Kim Chun, BS; Therapeutic Interventions Clinical Research Coordinator 2
Kim joins the department as the new Therapeutic Interventions Clinical Research Coordinator 2, where she will work closely with Dr. Katie Schenning on a newly-funded clinical project. Kim previously worked at the ONPRC-West Campus, and this is her first time working on Marquam Hill. Kim grew up in Waipahu, Hawaii and received her BS in Marine Biology from Hawaii Pacific University in 2017. She moved to Portland in 2018 for the beautiful scenery and the changing seasons. She spends most of her summer camping, paddle boarding, and fishing. She prefers the spend the winter indoors, cooking and binge watching TV, and she spends most of her time with her two adorable but needy dogs.
