We’re pulling together to do everything we can to keep our communities healthy. In alignment with OHSU’s public health mission and the State of Oregon’s “Stay Home, Save Lives” initiative, the Alumni Association has made the difficult yet necessary decision to cancel all in-person gatherings until July 2021 and at that time we will receive further guidance from OHSU.

POSTPONED: Racism in Oregon: A brief History Presented by the Oregon Historical Society
POSTPONED: Due to extreme weather and resulting power outages, we are unfortunately postponing the February 16th presentation. We will communicated when a new date has been confirmed. Thank you for your patience and we hope you'll be able to join us at that time.
Presented by OHS Executive Director Kerry Tymchuk and OHQ Editor Eliza Canty-Jones
In December 2019, the Oregon Historical Society (OHS) published a special issue of its 120-year-old journal, the Oregon Historical Quarterly, on the subject of “White Supremacy & Resistance.” The issue offers an in-depth view of the ways Oregon history has been shaped by White supremacist ideology and policies — and resistance to those frameworks — for almost two centuries. Understanding how both racism and justice are at the heart of Oregon’s history are crucial to our ability to build a better future.
