Biography

As a primary care clinician and a geriatrician, it is a pleasure and privilege to care for the community in current times of challenges that we all face as global citizens. I believe in the saying, “Care is an Absolute. Prevention is the Ideal” I strive to foster overall wellbeing of my patients delivering comprehensive care while developing longitudinal relationship for health promotion, disease prevention and patient education while treating acute and chronic illnesses.

Growing up in India exposed me to diversity & hardships, leading to appreciate access and availability to standardized health care. Having worked in rural Oregon, Tillamook & later in a larger group practice in Portland, gave me over a decade of experience, developing skills to manage complex conditions & work with other team members who are crucial part of primary care. I value the information & discussion with patient family as much as the patient, especially in elderly population where it is critical to obtain that added relevant history in evaluating memory concerns. It is rewarding to include patient as an essential role player in decision making to improve outcomes while respecting variable individual needs at the same time.

In my spare time, I am mostly a mother of three teenage children, enjoying my time spent nurturing them. “Creativity is intelligence having fun” - I am an amateur artist who likes to paint. Other hobbies of hiking, travelling, staying close to nature, photography, reading, listening to music of all genres, spirituality have woven into the fabric of my life evolving me into a better human being. Humbled to give back to the community with volunteering, fundraising & participating in as many charitable drives for local & global community throughout the year. I thrive due to this passion & appreciation for life & art of all forms especially healing that comes with my profession. “To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” Look forward to building a healthy, sustainable partnership with my patients.
