The entire staff and overall process was by far the best hospital experience I’ve ever had. Not a single unpleasant staff member, or moment of neglect. This organization is best in class with patient care!

  • May 03, 2019

I would have appreciated meeting the doctor long prior to arriving directly outside the operating room door.

  • May 03, 2019

He was clear with what happens during and post op. He had a confidence that made me relaxed because he knows what he is doing.

  • Apr 30, 2019

I had no problems communicating with Dr Orfaly after a 10 minute wait for the nurse, a 20 minute wait for the resident, and a 20 minute wait for Dr Orfaly. My next PT at CHH2 was canceled by the nurse who was quite nice as I was waiting.

  • Apr 23, 2019

Excellent attention, very attentive to y concerns, friendly and very professional.

  • Apr 22, 2019

I've never had a doctor of any type that I felt so confident in from just listening to what he had to say. He was very calm, and clear, and explained things to me that after 7 surgeries with my current surgeon, had never been explained to me, and I have complete trust in every word he said. He was extremely professional and made me feel so at ease, and I truly appreciated him.

  • Apr 19, 2019

Yes, I had a very good conversation with my...with the doctor and he gave me a lot of information that I wasn't given previously. I appreciate everything he did and I'm following his instructions and they're actually working already. So I'm extremely happy with the results, and I'm going to follow through and go to physical therapy and I think that's going to cure my problem.

  • Apr 19, 2019

I have dealt with Dr. Orfaly before and know him to be a very experienced and able surgeon. He is also a very pleasant and courteous person.

  • Apr 19, 2019

    Expedite, knowledgable, and thorough.

  • Apr 19, 2019

Very knowledgeable. Took time to listen to our concerns regarding a joint replacement infection & explained my test results & options.

  • Apr 16, 2019

Dr Orfaly was professional, he listened well to my concerns and helped narrow down my situation. He had clearly discussed with the resident and medical student what the resident had learned in his discussions with me and came in to verify and confirm the resident's findings. I left with not only a clear diagnosis but also with a concrete plan of action for remediation. I was also impressed with the knowledge, questions, and listening exhibited by the resident, Dr Otlans, who started off the appointment. Overall, very impressed by the staff.

  • Apr 13, 2019

  • Apr 05, 2019

The appointment went very well; all my questions were answered. I feel very confident about having the procedure we discussed and am clear on the procedures pre and post op. Our personal/professional connection (his Dept Chair in BC was my hip surgeon in Canada) certainly added positively to the experience. I believe I will be in good hands to fix this painful problem.

Everybody is so friendly and putting out so much effort to make your visit as speedy and special as possible. Dr. Orflay always makes me feel that I am his most special patient. He kicks back and puts no pressure on you and answers all your questions as well as asking you a lot of questions hisself. You never have the feeling that he is trying to speed through your visit. You also find this same attitude with his whole team. Visits are always a pleasure, even with the 4 hour drive in very unpleasant weather!!

  • Mar 08, 2019

He was not sensitive when telling me the bad news of my shoulder. Didnt even seem to know my history. Was mean and uncaring. Treated me like I was faking it when I have x-ray proof etc. Very disapointed with him.

  • Mar 06, 2019

very good easy to discuss options very informative

  • Mar 06, 2019

Very professional. I'm very confident. Looks like he probably has been doing it long enough so that he knows what he's doing. Everything I've heard, shows that he is more than competent.

  • Mar 03, 2019

I found Dr. Orfaly an excellent doctor. He answered my questions and he was attentive and listen to my concerns. I think that he will do an excellent job of removing this sangria from my wrist and while I don't look forward to any surgery are look forward to him doing the surgery. Thank you very much. Hello. I had a wonderful appointment with Dr. Orfaly. I had been having problems with my physical therapist. Some other issues, but he solved everything for me. I can't believe it was just he was so articulate and knowledgeable and he just really changed my life. I I was kind of desperate when I came in that then I was in a lot of pain or whatever. So he has a wonderful solution for the problem. He's implemented it and and I'm a happy camper camper. Thank you.

  • Mar 01, 2019

My personal opinion is that the surgeon Dr. Orfaly is extremely attentive and listens to all my questions and concerns, along with his staff. It's been awesome, from the person that answers the phone when I call to the person who answers my questions when I ask them. It's been a far as people are concerned, a very good experience.

  • Feb 17, 2019

He was very professional as well as personably. He sensed I was frightened about the surgery and nicely answered all my questions.

  • Feb 17, 2019

Yes, I thought the doctor was very good about explaining what was going on with my shoulder and answer any questions that I had. I was very happy with the way he treated me. Thank you.

  • Feb 11, 2019

I feel comfortable visiting Dr. Orfaly as he performed my 2 previous wrist surgery. He assessed my current issues and provided me with options. I will always return to him and his staff for any issues with my hands.

  • Feb 10, 2019

This provider came across as condensending and uncaring and interrupted as I was responded to his question and kept looking at the other two providers in training in the room as if he was trying to impress them with his rudeness. I see other providers at OHSU and have never been treated like this. I am also a former employer and a retired Nurse Manager so know good customer service. Please feel free to contact me.

  • Feb 07, 2019

    All of it excellent

  • Feb 04, 2019

I found Dr. Orfaly to be very very knowledgeable about situations concerning the hand. I had a partial Fusion done on my left wrist on Friday. He and his physician's assistant were both very thorough in their explanation of what I was going to experience, and I couldn't have asked for better care. It was a painful experience, but I hope a good one that will have great results.

I presented with trigger finger (three fingers), I was given a couple of viable options as treatment and possible cure for the condition. I opted for the less invasive procedure which was steroid injections to free up the "pullies" that regulate the movement of the tendons in my hand. I was given the option of surgery to repair the tendons and may end up undergoing that procedure if the injections fail to give me long term relief. I felt that both the condition and the treatment options were exlained clearly and allowed me to make an informed decision as to how I want the doctor to treat the problem. The procedure was quick and not too painful. All things considered, it was a pleasant experience.

My surgeon always explains everything and keeps me in the loop of all decisions

  • Jan 31, 2019

Hey was very gentle, he understood, and he also explained to me about my shoulder, and he told me I need to come back in either September or October for another checkup to make sure it was okay. I would recommend him for anybody. Thank you.

He is a excellent surgeon, but bedside manner could use improvement. Cursory with explications
