She spent 3 years in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and then joined the Pediatric General Surgery team in 2013. She greatly enjoys working with children and their families to provide the best possible care and help guide them through their Doernbecher experience. Currently, she is working on studying and improving the care and management of patients with Gastrojejunal feeding tubes. She helps take care of children during their hospital stay, as well as seeing patients in clinic and performing minor procedures. She has also enjoyed participating in several global medical mission trips and hopes to continue this endeavor in the future. In her spare time, Rachel is an avid sports fan. We were very happy with our experience with Rachel. However, not happy that we did not get to meet with Dr. Sanjay Krishnaswami. This was a 8 week follow up post op appointment that we were supposed to meet with him. He did not show up. We only met with Rachel and we had concerns that we wanted to talk to him about. And we did not get to speak with him which did not make us happy. But Rachel did a great job.
