Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.

Dr. Christiansen specializes in the consultation, evaluation and treatment of youths and families dealing with mental illness and stress, including ADHD, mood disorders, learning difficulties, anxiety, and psychosis.  She enjoys providing consultation to primary care providers because she has the opportunity to share her knowledge with other clinicians and enhance the community-based care of kids and families struggling with mental illness.

When not consulting to primary care providers for OPAL-K, Dr. Christiansen divides her time between her private practice and her family.  She enjoys hiking, yoga, gardening, and travel with her three children and husband.  She finds that beachcombing for sea glass and foraging for wild berries are excellent mindfulness practices.
