Dr. Bonazzola received his bachelor's degree from Lewis and Clark College in 1974 and his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1978. He was an intern and resident in medicine at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center and a chief medical resident at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Bonazzola is the chief medical officer of the OHSU Practice Plan and is currently interim CMO for OHSU Healthcare. He has a part-time internal medicine practice on the Marquam Hill Campus.

I am nearly 80 years old and have seen many different health care providers. Dr. Bonazzola is the best I have ever encountered and have recommended him to others at every opportunity.

DR. Bonazzola is an exceptional MD. He is personal in his approach and he has been my physician for over 10 years. I feel he has sensitivity and empathy for my personal life. He is interested in my world and interests. A wonderful conversationalist.

While the purpose of the visit was for an annual checkup, I did bring up the ongoing issue I had previously seen him for about my right foot heel pain still being present. No follow up instructions were provided for it that I recall.
