Biography

Matt was born in New York, and at an early age, moved to Vermont. His adolescence was filled with frosty winters and an abundance of skiing. He attended Tufts University in Massachusetts, where he fell in love with the sciences. Matt appreciated Boston so much that he pursued medicine at Tufts University, officially earning the badge as a "Double Jumbo."

Matt is enthusiastic to be part of the many leaders and innovators at OHSU, who provide some of the most progressive medical care in the country. Family medicine affords him an eclectic mix of people, as well as a holistic and preventative approach to medicine. He believes that family physicians will be at the forefront of transforming our healthcare system.

Matt is a simple person at heart, and tries to enjoy life day by day. He is frequently in the kitchen perfecting his cooking skills, busting a groove to the radio, and embracing Portland’s plentiful foodie scene, as well as Oregon's many outdoor wonders.
