About me

Always open to new prenatal/obstetric and pediatric patients.

Dr. Justin Lee is a family physician who cares for whole families, including children and people who are pregnant. He works in the clinic and the hospital, where he both delivers babies and takes care of people who are admitted. He believes in the importance of long-term trusting relationships and understanding that a person’s health is impacted by their life experiences and circumstances. This includes (but isn’t limited to) access to housing, food, purpose in life and supportive relationships, as well as the effects of trauma, discrimination and inequity.

Dr. Lee has special interests and training in substance use disorder treatment, substance use disorders in pregnancy, transgender and gender-affirming care, psychiatric care, hepatitis C treatment, palliative care, musculoskeletal and other point-of-care ultrasound. He loves to teach and work with residents and medical students, as they help improve patient care and constantly inspire curiosity and energy.

Dr. Lee finds it an honor and privilege to be invited into people’s lives, hear their stories and serve them and their families. He loves family medicine because it’s a specialty that allows him to care for the comprehensive needs of a diverse spectrum of people. He is amazed and grateful to be in a position of service to the Portland community and his fellow Oregonians.

Dr. Lee was born and raised in Portland. In his free time, Dr. Lee likes to be with his wife and son and be active — preferably outside with his rambunctious and adorable dog — travel to new places, cook food, read fiction, and spend time with family and friends.

What I love about Obstetrics:

It brings me great joy to provide comprehensive patient-centered prenatal and postpartum care to patients and families. I love partnering with pregnant people to navigate the highs and lows, stresses and discomforts, and excitement of pregnancy. Delivering babies is one of the most amazing experiences that a person can have, and I feel honored to be there to support people in meeting their delivery goals and their beautiful babies!
