Biography

Dr. Kim was born in West Lafayette, Indiana, and grew up in Seoul, South Korea. He completed his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Oregon majoring in Biochemistry. After finishing a year of research in cancer genetics, he went on to obtain his M.D at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received a T-32 research grant and completed the Clinical Scientist Training Program focusing on clinical trials involving balloon dilation of the eustachian tube. Dr. Kim moved to Los Angeles, CA to complete his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Southern California. He has conducted a variety of research on the topics of rhinology, allergies, head and neck cancers, and general Otolaryngology. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and traveling. He is also an avid Oregon Ducks fan.
