Yes, I didn't stay in Portland long to find out what the diagnosis was of that pain in my left ball joint and I had an x-ray and I wondered about the results. Also, I'm still curious about what happened to my MRI. Thank you very much.

Hi, this is [Name] And I'm a patient of the [Name] Institute and I've had the privilege of having the counsel of Dr. Chang on two occasions, the most recent being last week. For context I'm a 68 year old male with stage 4 castrate resistant metastatic prostate cancer. It is progressed, but we still have a good quality of life. [Name] line is, is that I have some major issues in my spine and I was very concerned about the possibility of becoming a immobile, paralyzed, having to be in the chair. It was weighing very heavily on me and indications were that, that was a possibility based upon the radiation oncology team. So we met based upon the recommendation referral Dr. Bergen my oncologist and we spent the entire time*

Surgery is never fun, but every single person we made contact with was awesome:The lady in Admitting was patient and reached out to give us answers when the surgery was delayed from 11:15 to 2:00. I do have to say that we weren't told anything until we asked and would have sat there without a clue long past the original surgery time. Once he was in pre-op everyone there was most helpful and did nothing except make us both feel confident and calm - Dr. Chang's PA, Anesthesiologists, the nurses.Dr. Chang is of course incredible. His visit to the waiting room after surgery and then he personally came to inform me of complications after that. The nurse in ICU was wonderful ... she handled every silly request from my husband with a smile. She should be given a raise !!Then he was moved to the Spine Ortho ward. Russell was positive ... makes you happy just to have him around. Keep him ! Rob as well ... he made you feel like whatever he could do to make everything better, he would. Keep him !I feel bad for not remembering the names of many of these people .. my mind was elsewhere during those times, but we do remember the faces and the people. Thank you for everything !

I found Dr. Chang to be a first class physician - expected from one who is associated with OHSU. He manifested all of the best qualities I hope for in a physician. He listened. He explained. He put forth an understandable and reasonable plan for my treatment going forward.I note as well that he was approachable, honest and prepared. He fully met all of my expectations

    Waist of time and money

  • Feb 02, 2019

Dr. Chang was very professional, very clinical, but not very personable

  • Feb 01, 2019

Dr. Jason Chang provides a complete analysis which he thoroughly develops and expresses by introducing data/evidence with explanation, discussion, Q/A, and final exploration of logical conclusion. He is a surgeon who is wants to consider all options of treatment with surgery as an option of last resort. After consulting Dr. Chang, my wife and I are confident in our chosen course of action. We respect and trust Dr. Chang.

He was very friendly and helpful.he new what my problem was and fixed it

  • Jan 16, 2019

Dr. was wonderful. He made you feel like he had all day to talk to you. He made sure that we understood every aspect. There was no doubt for a minute that he cared about [Name]

  • Jan 16, 2019

I think that Dr. Chang was pretty good. He listened to my concerns and what I was having problems with. He explained to me the type of work that he did. The VA sent me to the wrong doctor. So, but he was a pretty good. When I came in the office, the nurse asked me my height and weight instead of putting me on the scale and finding out the facts for herself, that kind of disturbed me. Other than that there was a pretty good fit.

  • Jan 15, 2019

Love love love Dr Chang. He will listen to all your questions and concerns. I appreciate that he is direct with presenting the issues and treatment options, in addition to being very conservative in regard to surgery.

  • Jan 15, 2019

The doctor was very nice. Very pleasant to deal with, but not helpful to me.
