I grew up in a small town in central Mississippi. I moved to Portland in 2014 from Austin Texas after living there for nearly 8 years. My first experience with Portland was after my wife and I visited some friends that moved here a few years before us. I was amazed at all the beauty of the Northwest. We took the opportunity to move here as soon as it was presented and have been very happy with that decision.

Prior to OHSU, I worked for one of the largest anesthesia groups in Texas. We had 22 facilities that we covered in any given day, ranging from a pediatric hospital to orthopedic specialty hospitals. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and did my postgraduate training at Florida Gulf Coast University, where I graduated with a Masters degree in Nursing Anesthesia in December 2006.

I love to play as hard as I work. In my free time I enjoy practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, traveling, hiking with my wife and dogs, watching soccer, and have recently started going to yoga.
