About me

Debra is the Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. She's the first person those newly diagnosed with breast cancer meet. She is there every step of the way to coordinate providers and treatments. With over 12 years of oncology experience, she is passionate about meeting their unique needs and works to provide resources tailored to each person.

One of Debra’s areas of interests is a symptom called mucositis, a side effect some people experience from chemotherapy. She has published several articles and provided lectures on this topic. She also has experience providing education and training to other oncology nurses in the areas of symptom management and chemotherapy administration.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
