About me

Chenara Johnson attended the University of Pittsburgh and obtained a B.S. in Bioengineering. She then went on to attend the University of Illinois where she received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering and her M.D. Dr. Johnson began her career in vascular surgery, completing two years of an integrated vascular surgery program at Stony Brook University Hospital. Chenara ultimately decided that radiology was a more befitting career path. Her transition into radiology began with the completion of the NIH R25 NIBIB Bioimaging Fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Subsequently, she completed the diagnostic radiology residency at OHSU. During her final year of residency, Dr. Johnson helped create OHSU’s Emergency Radiology Fellowship, in which she is the inaugural fellow. Chenara grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas and enjoys long meditative walks, CrossFit, and spending time with loved ones.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
