About me

Carrie Schreibman is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing center.  Carrie has extensive experience treating patients with fibromyalgia and many comorbid rheumatic disorders.  Prior to joining Oregon Health & Science University in 2012, Carrie was a National Health Service Corps Scholar with initial practice in rural family medicine then internal medicine/ diabetes care in Tribal Health in California.  She was recognized within the Indian Health Service for specialization in diabetic peripheral neuropathy lecturing nationally.  Her interest in medically complex patients with chronic pain syndromes led her to The Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases.  She received her training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to her career as a nurse practitioner, she studied medical anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley.  She remains interested in the intersection of cross cultural, interpretive and post-modern theory in contemporary clinical practice.  In her free time, Carrie enjoys reading, baking, tending her plants and flowers and spending quality time with her husband and cats.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
