Biography

Dr. Natonson moved to Portland from Chicago via Boston, where he did the majority of his training at Tufts Medical Center. In addition to his clinical duties, he is actively engaged in the education of medical students and residents in the field of neurology. He has spent many years studying HIV and is interested in how viruses impact cognitive changes, as well as how best to keep our minds healthy as we get older. He is contemplating ways to improve access to neurological care for patients in rural areas using telemedicine, and on those occasions that he is outside of the office he is otherwise trying to find ways to become acclimated to this wonderful city with his growing family.

Hi, I'm very thankful to Dr. Andrew Natonson. We've met maybe three times and my impression has only gotten better and better and that's why he's getting a rating of ten. He's a great listener. He has recommended medication that has helped my mom and has been able to give us the proper feedback. He is very smart obviously and great listener thoughtful and both my mom and dad were very comfortable with him and then definitely me the daughter who knows about my mom's condition and health and how she should improve or not. So anyways, so thank you so much and I definitely would recommend Dr. Andrew Natonson to anyone.

His manner was quick, was brisk and efficient. I felt that each of the exercises had a definite point and was relevant to the question that I brought to the.... to the...and my sense was that the doctor gained a lot of information in a fairly short time, and I'm also guessing that I might learn more from talking with my primary.... primary doctor after he has received the report from the OHSU doctor.

  • Apr 24, 2019

He was very personable and thorough. I’ve been to several other doctors for the same issue and none of them examined or tested me for it. He quickly figured out what was happening and explained things very well.

  • Apr 22, 2019

My appointment with the doctor was...went very well. I hoped it would go the way did. I was impressed with the doctor and his med student he had with him in the room. It was a benefit to me to have the med student because I could hear the doctor explaining in detail some of the things he was checking for it and found and I was able to benefit from that and I appreciated it very much. His diagnosis is what I expected.... what it.... I expected the diagnosis to be and what I felt it was. I've been suffering with the symptoms for a couple of years and somebody finally gets it. So, it's going to be taken care of, I hope, and I'm very grateful.

Excellent professional. Listen to me carefully. Understood my condition. Realized how difficult it was to deal with my headaches and my pain. Provided me with very accurate and very thorough description of the next steps that we need to take. He showed sympathy and enthusiasm for my ... my possible cure of (INAUDIBLE) migraines that I'm receiving and getting daily and hopefully with his support and my enthusiasm for his care, we will get rid of it. Get rid of my migraines.

The doctor was very good at listening to all of the problems and symptoms. The patient is more engineer and scientist, and tends to attribute stuff accordingly to engineering and electrical terms, and the doctor was very good at translating that information into biological problems and corrections.
