Great experience. Follow up visit with my bariatric surgeon and dietician. I was able to get questions answered about my recovery and diet restrictions. Helpful staff. The staff was able to coordinate my visit with the nutritionist so that that was no long wait time between appointments. This was very convenient. I am happy with the care I get at OHSU.

OHSU is the only hospital I go to for my special concerns. I go to my health provider for simple things [Name] cold etc) It’s because of the care and compassion I receive when I am a patient there. I am morbidly obsessed, and the staff at OHSU never make me feel ashamed. They have given me encouragement and walk with me on this journey to change.Great team of people! Thank you [Name]

  • Jul 20, 2019

I met with the surgeon who is going to do my gastric sleeve surgery. We talked about what to expect and what is involved

  • Jul 13, 2019

I think that my experience on the 11th was absolutely wonderful. Everyone that I talked to from before the procedure during the week, to during the procedure and afterwards were wonderful. I didn't see one person or hear one person that did something or said something that I didn't like. They were all very, very helpful and they were all very willing to help me get through it and I appreciated all of them and I appreciated the call the next morning to see if I was doing well and so I can't say one thing that they can do better. I just was so scared when I went in, but they helped me through it and I got through it and I think that my experience was a 10. It couldn't have been any better.

  • Apr 13, 2019

I had a great experience with the provider but a bad experiance waiting. My appointment was at 1:50 and I was not seen until 3:15.If I had received a call from OHSU saying "your appointment will be an hour late can you make it?" then I would have left an hour later. There needs to be a better system in place to give the providers more time with each patient so they don't get behind OR a system to notify patients before they show up and wait for so long.I would have been much less frustrated had I been called 2 hours prior to be notified of the delay.I arrived at 1:30 for my appointment as asked to arrive early and sat for over an hour and a half.

  • Mar 16, 2019

Other than waiting over 20 minutes it was amazing. Dr. Stroud and Dr. Lui (her fellow) were awesome.

  • Mar 10, 2019

She is very good at making me feel like I am in good hands. I have seen many doctors lately and she ranks at the top of them.

Procedure was very easy and staff was very attentive

  • Mar 05, 2019

Very prompt and professional, but also very personable. Had reviewed and had case knowledge prior to visit. Great listening and seemed interested in what I had to say and answering any questions I had.

  • Mar 01, 2019

The doctor was very thorough. She explained everything. She asked me my thoughts on several things and took those into consideration and I felt heard and listened to and we have very similar philosophies. So, I feel very comfortable that I have the right surgeon.

  • Feb 18, 2019

Very informative, polite and open to our millions of questions!

  • Feb 12, 2019

She was great the nurses were rude. The wait was 75 minutes past my appt time and no one told me that she was running late until 60 minutes after my appt. They just kept telling me I was next

  • Feb 05, 2019

Provider listened and allowed time for questions

  • Jan 27, 2019

I got there really early & they saw me early. Dr Stroud was super nice, answered all my questions. I feel a lot better about my surgery after talking with her. I feel i will be in great hands.

  • Jan 27, 2019

It was excellent, and satisfied. Small thing is Im still not understanding one itty bitty question I asked her. She did tell me many times from her perspective. But I guess I'm still not understanding it. Not her fault. She's great, caring, looks out for the well being of her patients really well. Thank you for that.

  • Jan 15, 2019

I like her candor yet caring way that she converses with me. She doesn’t ridicule or make me feel dumb. Her knowledge is obvious.

  • Jan 13, 2019

Dr Stroud was running 30 minutes late due to the first patient showing up late but we got everything we needed to yLk about done in 1/2 hour. She is wonderful and super excited for surgery!!!

  • Dec 20, 2018

Dr. Stroud is extremely kind and caring and it is clear she is invested in her patients health.

  • Nov 10, 2018

She was very nice and attentive.

  • Nov 09, 2018

My side effects from surgery should of been handled better. I was told a few times by the dr they would be back to see me and never happened. No bedside manor

  • Oct 28, 2018

My appointment was scheduled for 9:40 AM. I wasn't roomed until after 10:20 AM (the MA was very kind, only nice things to say about her. I think her name was Joann. She normally works in plastics). By the time I saw the doctor, it was approximately 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. During the appointment, I asked for a prescription for injectable B12 (it's required to supplement after surgery). She said she would order a kit for B12 - as a pharmacist for OHSU I knew this kit wouldn't be covered by MODA and asked that she order vials of B12, which are covered and more cost effective. She continued as if she hadn't heard me and ordered the kit. Not surprisingly, the item she ordered wasn't covered and I wound up having to ask my PCP to prescribe the covered item in its place. I was very frustrated by the interaction. Her inability to acknowledge informed input from a patient (or perhaps, coworker, in some senses) makes me concerned for patients who aren't as knowledgeable about their insurance coverage/formulary. Perhaps the provider had/has done this to another patient who doesn't have an easily accessable PCP to represcribe the covered medication or who can?t afford the originally prescribed medication. Do they go without? Is their treatment delayed for days or longer because their provider couldn't accept simple feedback?

Dr Stroud is amazing. Great bedside manner, very informative and personalizes your visit
