  • Sep 06, 2019

Very responsive to my needs. Listens to concerns and gives great feedback, monitored my condition appropriately and referred me to another provider when necessary when she felt I was having other problems not what she was treating me for yet kept up on that progress. I felt important as a patient

  • Aug 22, 2019

Dr. Herzka is exceedingly professional friendly intelligent answered all my questions pre and post op and I feel like a new person. I would recommend her to any of my friends or family if they were looking for a hip surgery. Thank you.

  • Aug 20, 2019

She is absolutely amazing & so are all of her staff & colleagues. Going through ACL reconstructive surgery is no fun, but they made me feel completely comfortable knowing I was in good hands. I’d recommend this provider to anyone.

  • Aug 09, 2019

The provider and the resident that I saw... were phenomenal. I felt like they actually cared about the situation, gave me in depth, in lay person's terms... what was happening with my knee. I greatly appreciated that... the provider was an active... skier and runner and could provide tips on how to move forward, and that the resident was very a tentative... and accurate with his assessment as well. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I'm quite thankful for it.

  • Aug 09, 2019

Excellent. Dr.Herska listened to me. She carefully assessed my hip and presented me with all the options available. She was professional and calm. I left feeling confident in pursuing further treatment from my hip joint with her office. Thank you again.

  • Aug 04, 2019

Yes, she was about 45 minutes late to the appointment. Left me sitting in the room that long and more time out there and then was very short, sweet, and out the point and when I get out the door, I essentially see that I'm not going to be waking right for the rest of my life. Thanks for pointing that one out to me.

  • Aug 04, 2019

I like Dr. Herzka personally, she explained things to me very well. She seemed competent, concerned about my problem and I would recommend her.

  • Aug 01, 2019

I'm very appreciative of the service that I got from everyone and I'm very thankful that they were able to make me feel comfortable and safe. So, thank you.

  • Jul 30, 2019

I am grateful to Dr. Herzka for taking the time to carefully listen and communicate with me during my recovery from rotator cuff surgery. I am especially grateful for this during what I imagine has been an especially busy day. And of course I am glad my prognosis is very good with an expected nearly complete recovery. Again, gratitude is at the forefront of my thoughts.

  • Jul 29, 2019

She was excellent. She was thorough with explanations and calm and patient.

  • Jul 28, 2019

Appreciate the time and attention. Dr. Herzka was present. It did not feel rushed. Thank-you for that.

  • Jul 28, 2019

I thought Dr. Herzka didn't have that great bed side manner and she didn't seem too concerned about the problems I had and what was causing them and where they're coming from.

  • Jul 26, 2019

Dr Herzka is excellent all the way around. She is very personable, very knowledgeable and definitely the best surgeon around. She works with me to come up with a plan that works best for my personal health. I really appreciate her opinion and knowledge from all of the work she has done.

  • Jul 23, 2019

She was very welcoming. She had read my chart ahead of time and knew of my injury last year when I was visiting our son. I brought all further work on my left arm and the doctor read all of that info and explained why I might still have problems. She suggested another nerve study and was able to have it done here tomorrow. I live in Massachusetts, so I was very happy that the doctor could see me. She answered questions and clarified things for me. She is an excellent doctor and listened to my concerns.

  • Jul 17, 2019

I felt like I was in great hands with Dr. Herzka. She was compassionate and competent in equal measure. There is nobody I would prefer to do my surgery. The whole team was professional and caring.

  • Jul 13, 2019

I was impressed with the professionalism and performance of Dr. Herzka's surgical team. They answered all of my questions, made sure I was ok and took into account that I have suffered from nausea during a previous surgery.

  • Jul 12, 2019

Dr h is extremely pleasant and reassuring. Luv her!

  • Jul 09, 2019

Wonderful person. Thoughtful and thorough. Very confident.

  • Jun 29, 2019

Dr H is awesome. I have had multiple surgeries from her and we consider her part of the family now. She is always very thorough and detailed about options or what to expect. This last visit was for a knee injection, which are typically painful. She was so gentle it was literally painless. Thank you Dr H, you are great!

  • Jun 28, 2019

No one at OHSU acted like they had answered the same questions 50 times that day already. Very respectful.

  • Jun 28, 2019

I had to wait a bit to be seen, but I appreciate that Dr. Herzka and her associate Dr. Suchy spent a good deal of time with me, and were very thorough. I can only deduce that the case was the same for the patient before me, and I applaud that level of dedication. I experienced great listening from both providers. They also asked a lot of questions to determine the exact nature of my situation.

  • Jun 25, 2019

Received thorough consultation, and good advice regarding an upcoming shoulder surgery. Much appreciated.

  • Jun 25, 2019

Dr. Herzka was very nice and made me feel like she really cared about what I had to say. She was very through and shared all the options. I enjoyed my visit.

  • Jun 19, 2019

Thoughtful and compassionate. Personable and professional.

  • Jun 16, 2019

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Herzka's knowledge, skill, her accessibility, her willingness to share all of her relevant knowledge with me, and her understanding of all of my concerns. I can't imagine a better doctor-patient relationship, so thank you, Dr. Herzka.

  • Jun 14, 2019

Everything about this whole process has been amazing.

  • Jun 14, 2019

The surgery started 3 hours late. Wen I checked in at noon they knew it was going to be 2 hours late and didn't tell me and proceeded to get me hooked up with IV and all that. So I was stuck in Pre up for close to 5 hours before I was wheeled away. When I was in pre-op I had an issue with my IV and it started came disconnected and started bleeding and I had no help button and I called out and had to go for help and people came and helped and also at one point I had machines beeping and my friend had to go out and get a nurse and nobody knew who my nurse was cuz my nurse had gone off shift, Dr. Herzka was great the people who actually helped me were great, but there was just a lot of funky mess in the area and the post op directions are very, very vague. So I think that could get it worked out a little bit better. I think that's it end.

  • Jun 13, 2019

This was a great experience. Everyone I interacted with was kind and knowledgeable. I felt that everything went as well as it could have gone.

  • Jun 11, 2019

Check in process was easy as was the initial Xray. The visit with the Dr an her resident Dr went well and she didn't rush the process of explaining the surgery. The description of next steps and what to do or expect was not explained well, however, I had to ask proactively before they left and then got a very quick answer like they were in a hurry.Overall a good experience, just still unclear on what to do next to plan for the surgery and scheduling etc.

  • Jun 04, 2019

    It was refreshing and respectful

  • Jun 02, 2019

I have had Andrea Herzka do surgery on my legs putting titanium rods in both femurs and both tibia. I dislocated my right shoulder and she did the surgery on my right shoulder and did an amazing job. I am extremely happy with Andrea and I tell all of my friends and co workers at the VA hospital that they need anything like a buddy of mine dislocated his shoulder. I told him to go getting Andrea and he she does an amazing job. I am extremely happy with her and always have been.

  • Jun 01, 2019

Very personable... we appreciated her honestly and options

  • May 31, 2019

Yes, I was very happy with my appointment. I felt like Dr. Herzka took her time to explain everything very thoroughly, gave me some time to kind of comprehend what she was saying, and I thought she was very thorough and friendly and I enjoyed the visit.

  • May 24, 2019

I felt that Dr. Herzka has cared about me as a patient and is an excellent communicator. I had an old ACL injury that was never repaired and I had never been told that it was an option to repair it by other doctors. The injury led to a weakening of my right leg and hip and an unstable knee. The surgery went well and I was paired with an excellent OHSU PT. I'm thankful that I can resume some of my favorite activities and stay healthy.

  • May 24, 2019

Provider said surgery would fix my long-standing pain problem. It didn't. She also doesn't communicate with my other physicians who are treating the problem post-op.

  • May 21, 2019

Dr. Herzka is so well experienced that she anticipated all of our questions by addressing them all before we had a chance to ask. That is, she knew what we were going to ask because others probably have before us. She also gave a complete overview of how rotator cuff injuries, how they can be repaired and what it involves. Dr. Herka is a very strong communicator, and put us at ease with exactly what the surgery and aftercare will involve.

  • May 17, 2019

Dr. Herzka was patient, encouraging, and very informative. She made me feel at ease about my injury and recovery. I feel that I am in great hands in her care.

  • May 17, 2019

Great job helping me to understand the problem in my joint and what my options are. I feel very comfortable and confident in Dr. Herska!

  • May 15, 2019

She was wonderful! She was very thorough and explained everything in a way easily understood. I appreciated the time she spent with me. She wasn’t rushed.

  • May 15, 2019

She's very knowledgeable, thorough and does a great job.
