Dr.Visser was thorough with her exam, and extremely informative and candid in her explanation of my issue. She answered all of my questions with the same candor, but in a way that was sensitive to my concerns about my future. One of the best doctor/patient encounters I have ever had!

My appointment was at 10:00 but she was well behind so I didn't get called in until 11:00 and waited in the room for another 20 minutes before I saw her.The display board behind the receptionist did post that she was running 45 minutes behind.

As a new patient, I was impressed with the Doctor's review of my medical history with oral questions starting from the beginning (over 20 years ago) to present and the use of previous treatment records. Very thorough and detailed for a complex condition.

Dr. Visser listens, is knowledgeable, is interested in solutions in addressing problems I am having, and is someone I trust. My office visits with her a positive, I feel heard, and I always feel that she takes the time I need with her and is able to effectively communicate with me in a positive and straightforward manner, which I appreciate.

Dr. Amy Visser is excellent. She absolutely knows what she's doing and we are thrilled that we can come to her for advice because I have a rare neuro muscular disease and she gives me a lot of faith and confidence that I'm being taken care of in the manner I need to and she's very creative thorough, does a lot of research and she has been a wonderful resource. I'm really thankful for her.

Mostly good, but surprised there is only one wheelchair ramp. Seems like there should be one right in front of the doors.

I'm very very pleased with my care with Dr. Visser not sure how to say it. She's been outstanding, very attentive, and I've been very very pleased.

She's an excellent doctor and I had a lot of anxiety in regards to things I didn't know about and she explained them very well and she's awesome. So that's my feedback.

It was over an hour wait to see the doctor. She is very thorough.

Well, once again I end up with no clear answers as to my diagnostic problems. I can not understand why at such a large Neuro-department that they are only focused on a few neurological diseases.
- Dec 06, 2018
She listens to my questions and we talked about my treatment and my prognosis and my diagnosis thoroughly.
- Nov 28, 2018
Very attentive to needs and concerns. Always listens to what you have to say. This is important due to the fact that there is no treatment for my disease.
- Nov 15, 2018
Dr. Visser was very attentive. She reviewed the options for identifying a root cause of my neuropathy, ordered tests that may help us in that effort, and explained that there may not be a definitive diagnosis that is treatable. I appreciated her clarity and efficiency.

The wait is long

It was fine!

Both this provider and the resident take time to listen to me. There is not much that can be done for me (my illness has no treatment and no cure), but it is invaluable to feel heard when I explain new symptoms, how I am feeling mentally and physically with regard to the progression of my illness, and of course a full neurological physical exam was performed.

Actually, I did not see Amy Visser yesterday on the 30th of July. She was out of the office and I had 2 other people taking care of my visit. But I do recommend her, I am very happy with her, and so that is all I can tell you.

I was told I have either a lower back-related nerve issue or neuropathy. I found myself asking questions like, "so...., what should I do next?". I think since the pain wasn't acute I was left following an idiopathic route in trying to determine the cause of my symptoms. Again, it appears to me that the patient has to be smart enough to pursue their own health care solutions unless it is something that requires some immediate treatment. Seem like there is a fair amount of lack of care or innovation in helping a patient diagnose issues.

I would recommend Dr. Visser if someone I knew needed to see a neurologist at OHSU.
