Vanessa is passionate about community building and outreach. Prior to NICH, Vanessa worked for a local government agency and a non-profit organization focused on serving underserved communities to attain equitable access to transportation and socioeconomic opportunities. She strives to support families as they navigate the healthcare system. Her favorite thing about being an interventionist is fostering strong relationships with patients and their community.

In Vanessa’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, writing, and cooking for her friends and family. In the fall, you can find her crabbing or clamming with her family at the Oregon Coast.
