Timothy K. Liem M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.S.

 

Dr. Timothy Liem is a professor of surgery at OHSU where he is a vice-chair for quality in the OHSU Knight Cardiovascular Institute. He received an undergraduate degree in biomechanical engineering from the University of California at San Diego, and he received his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He completed his general surgery training at Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and his vascular surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2015, he received his MBA in healthcare management from OHSU. Dr. Liem is board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society, the Western Vascular Society, the International Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and Alpha Omega Alpha. He is on the editorial board and a reviewer for numerous medical journals, and has authored or co-authored over 80 book chapters and peer-reviewed articles. He lectures across the country on topics including venous thromboembolism, anticoagulation and venous duplex imaging. Dr. Liem sees patients in the OHSU Vascular Surgery Clinic at the Physician’s Pavilion, and in the Vein Clinic at South Waterfront.
