Biography

Sami Lou focuses on the design and fabrication of biomedical chips, with expertise in process development in the nanofab. Before CEDAR, she focused on developing titanium microneedles using novel deep etching techniques, and investigating the potential of microneedles to increase the transparency of skin to lasers. She received her B.S. in Chemistry from Washburn University (Topeka, KS) and Ph.D in Mechanical engineering from UC Riverside.
