Melissa Varnum is a Community Outreach Specialist with the Knight Cancer Institute. She provides training and technical assistance for community organizations a and leads outreach and engagement efforts for the Community Partnership Program.

Prior to her position with OHSU, Melissa worked as a health educator and project manager with a county health department and managed health promotion programs for youth-serving nonprofit organizations in Central Oregon. Melissa received her Master of Public Health degree with a focus in health disparities from OHSU, and her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University.
