Biography

Laura joined OHSU in 2018 as a MOC IV Specialist after a successful 18-year career in the field of market research/business intelligence. In her current role, Laura supports OHSU’s American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Multi-Specialty Portfolio ProgramTM and Maintenance of Certification Improvement activities centered on physician and organizational quality improvement. She is the central administrative point of contact for the OHSU MOC Part IV Portfolio. Laura’s primary responsibilities include:

• Review projects submitted to the portfolio to ensure alignment with ABMS requirements
• Provide support and technical assistance in ensuring the completion and submission of portfolio documentation
• Submit projects and attestations online to the ABMS
• Develop and manage processes and documentation to support the portfolio
• Generate awareness and engagement through program communication 

Laura’s experience includes 15 years within the pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare industries where she supported initiatives encompassing innovation, customer experience and all phases of the product lifecycle. Laura spent much of her tenure translating behavioral and attitudinal research outcomes into strategic guidance for marketing teams and brand managers to facilitate the development of communications, educational materials and support resources/programs. Most recently, Laura served as Vice-President, Client Solutions at ORC. Laura holds an MA in sociology from the University of Cincinnati with a concentration in public opinion and survey research and is also a RIVA Certified Qualitative Moderator.

Laura enjoys traveling, tennis and scooting around town on her motor scooter or her boyfriend’s motorcycle!
