I grew up in Connecticut before studying at the University of Rhode Island for BSN. After graduation I moved to Boston and worked for 5 years at Brigham and Women's Hospital Emergency Trauma unit. Upon graduating from anesthesia school in Providence (St Josephs School of Anesthesia, now University of new England)I returned to Boston area and worked throughout the area in many group and independent anesthesia practice settings.
While on my 5th medical mission to Guatemala with the Cascade Medical team from Eugene and Portland I met my wife Francene (a former OHSU employee). We traveled back and forth from Portland to Boston for a couple of years before she moved to Boston. We got married in Hood River and a year later ( after my daughters finished college! ) relocated to Portland and are loving it! We love to hike in the gorge and ski Mt Bachelor and Mt Hood.
I also play Jazz saxophone and guitar. I just released my third acoustic rock CD after we arrived here in Portland. I play jazz and rock gigs in my spare time. We both love the food and music scene in Portland.Read more
