Julian is a National Library of Medicine (NLM) PhD fellow in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at OHSU. Before his PhD candidacy, Julian worked as a bioinformaticist for the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo Genetics Department developing next generation sequencing (NGS) data pipelines for evolutionary and phylogenetic studies of lemur species from Madagascar. His research at OHSU focuses on bioinformatics and NGS approaches for cancer genomics with an emphasis on alternative splicing and coexpression networks.
