Biography

Jessica Minnier is an Associate Professor of biostatistics in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and the Knight Cancer Institute Biostatistics Shared Resource (BSR). As the statistical advisor to OHSU’s Integrated Genomics Resource, Dr. Minnier also advises investigators on study design and analysis for microarray and next-generation sequencing studies. She maintains a comprehensive statistical research program that focuses on the development and evaluation of risk prediction models as well as the analysis of high dimensional data and ‘omics data. Dr. Minnier has developed novel statistical methodology that utilizes machine-learning techniques to quantify a subject’s risk for disease based on a large number of genetic markers as well as environmental and clinical predictors. As a collaborator, she leads and contributes to analytic teams studying multiple sources and types of data from human and animal studies, including cohort studies, clinical trials, and basic science studies.
