Izumi Harukuni M.D.

    • Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine School of Medicine

Dr. Harukuni specializes in providing anesthesia care to adults in different type of surgeries, especially with the patients with heart disease for open heart surgeries and other types of surgeries. She has training and experience in caring of the adult patients with congenital heart disease. She carries the board certification for Perioperative transesophageal echocardiography to support anesthesia care in complex heart physiology.

In her spare time, Dr. Harukuni enjoys traveling, golfing, and skiing to stay fit and active. She also serves as a board member of a local figure skating club to support development of young athletes.
