Fresia Vega

Biography

Fresia Vega serves as the Knight Cancer Network Liaison. In this role she plays a vital role in supporting the work of the clinical teams at OHSU and at the Cancer Network member sites by enhancing communications and workflows during patients’ transitions of care to and from the community. She fields calls from member community patients, staff, and providers as well as from OHSU clinical and administrative teams in medical and surgical oncology.

 

Fresia spent 19 years at the University of Alabama, where most recently she oversaw the marketing efforts for the Department of Radiation Oncology, which included development of marketing plans and monitoring impact. Additionally, she founded a private 501©3 organization, Radiation Oncology Active Research, which raised funds for endowed chairs and research efforts with the Department of Radiation Oncology. Prior to her work in oncology, she served as a manager in Human Resources at UAB, responsible for payroll, employee relations, compensation review, benefit review and presentation, recruitment, and record maintenance of faculty and staff.
