Biography

Elizabeth Knight, Ph.D., D.N.P., FNP-C is an assistant professor in the family nurse practitioner program at the OHSU School of Nursing. Her special interests include gender and cardiovascular health, social justice in health care, and the use of technology to enhance accessibility of both education and clinical care. She is guided by the belief that health care is a right, not a privilege, and believes that FNPs are invaluable in expanding access to care to all people, regardless of age, gender, ability, geography, financial means, legal status, or race.

Elizabeth’s nursing background includes cardiovascular nursing, critical care, primary care, college health, and mobile outreach to underserved populations. Outside of work, she enjoys trail running, yoga, and perfecting vegetarian recipes.
