Deja Brooks

  • Current Student, 2021 Cohort
  • Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences Students, School of Medicine

Biography

Research Interests: studying molecular interactions in the human body. This led to her current pursuit of exploring how the RIG-I pathway interacts with PARP signaling in cancer. Retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG-I) senses RNA in the cytosol, aiding in cellular immunity while PARPs are known to aid in DNA damage repair.

Deja is a joint student in both Michael Cohen's lab and Sudarshan Anand's lab.
