Biography

Dr. Daniel Tu was born in Chicago, IL and began his medical training at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, MO. There he obtained his M.D. in addition to a Ph.D. in neuroscience for research on non-visual photoreception. After his internship, he moved to Portland for ophthalmology residency at the Casey Eye Institute, OHSU.

His current clinical focus is comprehensive ophthalmology and the treatment of adult eye diseases including cataract, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Much of his time is dedicated to teaching ophthalmology residents both at the Casey Eye Institute and at the Portland VA Medical Center. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and reading.
