Biography

I am board certified in Anesthesiology and Chronic pain with fellowship training in Acute and Chronic pain. I have balanced interest in both anesthesiology and pain management of which I enjoy practicing both. I believe we should strive for excellent perioperative outcomes for our patients and I am committed to constant improvement of my practice using evolving scientific evidence. I also have a passion for treatment of chronic pain using a comprehensive approach involving multimodal and multidisciplinary techniques. I spend some of my time doing work in medical informatics where I investigate ways to leverage technology for improvement of medical practice in Anesthesiology and Pain medicine. I have chosen to work in an academic institution because of my commitment to education, lifetime learning, and leadership in the medical community.
