Best performance on the Medicare Quality Improvement Program
The Oregon Office of Rural Health recognizes top performing Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) and their Quality Improvement Officers each year. This year a recognition category for HCAHPS reporting was added and the Most Improved MBQIP Reporting award was continued to recognize one CAH that has consistently improved reporting in all areas of the Medicare Quality Improvement Program (MBQIP).
The Federal Office or Rural Health Policy created MBQIP in 2011 to implement rural relevant quality measures specific to low volume Critical Access Hospitals. MBQIP helps CAHs look at the quality data that makes sense for them and to develop quality improvement activities that ensure the highest quality of care to their patients. MBQIP is voluntary and all 25 of Oregon’s CAHs participate. It’s a proactive approach to ensure CAHs are prepared to meet future reporting requirements as well as performance-based payment models.
ORH is pleased to announce the following CAHs as Top Performers and recognize their Quality Improvement Officers for doing an outstanding job!
In the current environment of many, many reporting requirements, these CAHs have demonstrated consistent reporting and strong results.
